If you ask our colleagues, they’ll tell you that there’s always a fun and friendly atmosphere at Altec. No ties or executive offices here, just open communication and direct contact between everyone. That makes working together not only easier, but also much more enjoyable. And the fun doesn’t stop at the office. We regularly organize team and company activities, from a night at the theatre to colleagues who often play padel together or take part in other fun events. Every year, we also team up with our colleagues from Altec Belgium for the Altec Weekend. And every now and then, we really go all out, creating unforgettable memories during legendary team events in places like Lapland and Ibiza!
Although we have a Sales department, we don’t really think of ourselves as “salespeople.” Instead, we take the time to listen to your needs and understand your identification challenges as best as possible. Our customers operate in a wide variety of industries, each with their own way of working. That means there’s never just one standard solution for identification, it’s almost always custom-made. That’s why you won’t find typical sales people at Altec, but sales advisors. Each member of our sales team has their own area of expertise, for example, surface treatment, RFID, or laboratories and hospitals. This allows them to quickly determine the best printing solution for your field of work.
At Altec, we actively encourage sports and exercise , many of our team activities even revolve around them. We believe that healthy and active employees feel good about themselves and radiate that same energy at work. Colleagues regularly play padel or work out together, and several of them sign up each year for the Rotterdam Marathon. And when we’re looking for something completely different, we might organize a CardioBoxing Clinic. Even during breaks, there’s plenty of action, with colleagues enthusiastically playing table tennis or going for a walk. Of course, there’s always room to put those healthy intentions aside for a moment. Like when we order delicious food on Fridays, or during our weekly Friday afternoon get-together in the Altec Lounge. Although, truth be told, many can’t resist picking up the table tennis paddles again afterward!
We believe in creating a fun and friendly workplace. And while that atmosphere is already part of our daily work life, it really comes to life in our Game Room. With enough table tennis tables for a company tournament and an Xbox where intense matches of FIFA and Mortal Kombat are played, the energy quickly rises. Prefer a round of darts instead? There are always colleagues ready for a challenge. And if you really want to blow off some steam, the punching bag is waiting, perfect after a tough loss in FIFA, darts, or table tennis!
Alongside all our activities and team events, there’s of course plenty of work being done. That’s why we make sure everyone has a comfortable and well-equipped workspace, from ergonomic desks and top-quality facilities to the best tools. Surrounded by real greenery and always with a good cup of coffee within reach. There’s a repair room with all the equipment needed for our printers, Focus Rooms for distraction-free work, a photo studio, desk bikes, and an annual training budget to help you grow professionally. We do everything we can to make sure you enjoy working here. And if we’ve reached our weekly sales target, you won’t have to worry about lunch the following week, we’ll take care of it!
When you call us, you’ll get one of our colleagues on the phone right away. We’re here to help you, whether it’s for technical support or placing an order. We can immediately see which printer, software, and labels you’ve ordered from us before, allowing us to quickly detect any potential issues and help you faster. All our customers can count on free support. Having trouble printing your labels? In most cases, our support team can solve the problem over the phone. And in the rare cases where that’s not possible, we’ll simply come to you on-site. Did you know we always do that when you order a label printer from us? Our Technical Sales Engineers visit you to install the printer, and they won’t leave until everything is working perfectly.
