Identification and track & trace of metal during surface treatment may seem challenging, as the material (and the label) is typically exposed to extreme conditions. We have developed labels that can withstand the most intense surface treatment processes. Think of labels suitable for galvanizing, (heavy) blasting, powder coating, and wet painting. This way, you can use barcode labels to keep metal parts traceable before and after the process. Below, we outline the available solutions.
Label for powder coating and chemical pre-treatment
Our PaintLabel is applied before chemical pre-treatment and powder coating (up to 200°C). It consists of a printable label and two laminates: a protective laminate and a masking laminate. On the printable section, you can print project data such as 1D or 2D barcodes. When applying the label, the folding design allows you to easily fold the protective laminate over the label. After the treatment, you remove the extra masking laminate. The label with the printed code remains not only perfectly readable but also fully encapsulated by the protective laminate.
Label for blasting and powder coating
The HotPaintCard is a special flexible card with a protective laminate. These labels are attached to metal parts or constructions before the blasting and powder coating process. After treatment, you remove the laminate, and the HotPaintCard is once again fully readable and scannable. This enables the use of QR codes and barcodes even during intense blasting and powder coating.
Label for blasting and wet painting
The WetPaintLabel is developed for identification during the most extreme forms of blasting and wet painting. It is an extremely adhesive label covered with an extra-thick protective laminate. After the treatment process, remove the laminate and the information and barcodes are once again perfectly readable and scannable.
Label for blasting and wet painting
The WetPaintLabel is also available as a hanging tag: the WetPaintCard. A robust card with an extra-thick protective laminate.
Galvanizing-resistant metal tag
The KettleTag enables barcode and QR code tracking during galvanizing. These metal tags receive a special laminate after printing. This laminate withstands chemical pre-treatment and protects the print during galvanizing. In the zinc bath at 450°C, the laminate dissolves, but the KettleTag remains clearly readable and scannable. This ensures that all parts can be traced before, during, and after galvanizing.
